About Kazimierz Kozlowski


Ann Paz Kozlowska
Kazimierz Kozlowski was born and raised in Wyszkow Poland in 1921 to Bolesław and Anna (Paz) Kozlowski.  He lived in Wyszkow until he was 40 years old when he moved to the USA in 1961 with his wife Stasia/Stella and settled in Bristol, Connecticut where his wife was born.

He was called Kazik in Poland and Kazi in the USA.  He was highly athletic and became a physical education coach in his youth.  He was an avid bicyclist and won many races.  He also played soccer, and during WWII he played on a team with Russia.

He was one of 6 children: Lucyna, Yadwiga, Tadeusz, Henyk and another younger sister who died from pneumonia when she was only 11 years old.

He fought against the Nazi's in WWII.  His younger brother Henyk, only 14, was forced into Auschwitz concentration camp, but survived.
